On Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 the Miami Marlins announced that they have signed the veteran American League superstar shortstop, Tim Anderson, to a 1-year contract worth up to approximately $5 million.
In a corresponding move for the Miami Marlins, they placed their right-handed pitcher in Sandy Alcantara on the 60-day injured list while he recovers from Tommy John surgery that began last October.
